A teenaged Hetaira from an ancient world lost to time, he is found on the wreckage of a deep space array with nine alien ships bearing down on him. He is rescued by Xandyr who helps to revive the teen and finds out that Jeri is not human but a highly sophisticated synthetic life form, and one that is haunted by a terrible history of murder and destruction. Jeri is wanted in multiple systems and Xan swears to protect the ancient teen from harm so they can find a way to help him and end his nightmare.

Once a famous soldier and leader in the Nebulan War with the Praxorian Space Fleet, Galactic Storm, Xandyr ends the war after nine cycles of brutal fighting. But he was framed as a traitor and had to flee Praxor. Now he is on the run from the the secret police, the Ha. But Xandyr finds ways to help those in need of protection along the way until he finds Jeri and life changes immeasurably.

Praxorian Officer on the Bridge of the Obliteration, special aid to Ta’arn Qothar, and tactical specialist in the Praxorian Military. Calim escapes with many others of the crew and men who had served under Xandyr, and finds himself hired on as a crewman to a league of pirates. In a twist of fate, he is on the boarding party that raids the Aurora-Princess and finds himself on the other end of Xandyr’s gun. Calim quickly tells Xan of his fleeing Praxor and swears to him that had he known his commander was alive, he would have joined him in exile. Xandyr accepts his word and Calim becomes another member of Xandyr’s band.

A member of the oldest most sophisticated life forms in this galaxy, the Bweep have been diplomats and teachers to civilizations around the galaxy. They have also been involved in seeding history with potential persons to guide events to their right full outcome. No one knows what the Bweep look like except Xandyr who was rescued by them when his ship crashed into the home world. Bweep is his friend and aid as Xan tries to solve the mystery of Jeri and unravel what the Bweep could really want with the boy.
