I need to beat the drum. Sex is beautiful. It reflects the passion, love and intimacies between two people or more. But we still use words like 'perv' to describe people who enjoy sexual fantasy. There is nothing perverted about it. It is fantasy. It excises and exercises our deep desires and queries about our feelings, what triggers them and why we feel what we feel.
Sex is communication between me and my lover, our bodies touching, intertwining and uniting. It is that simple and that magnificent.
People who abuse, attack, belittle, assault, kidnap, or kill using sex as the weapon or catalyst are violent criminals who betray trust and violate human relationships. Sex is not a crime. But it is now. When we allow our traditional cultural values to make us feel dirty, vile and unworthy, do not question yourself, question the values that teach you that you are ugly and that being sexual is perverting God's will and plan.
PFO is a story about love. Not pure love or rational love or romantic love, just love. It espouses the freedom from fear. Fear of rejection, fear of being inadequate, fear of being ugly, fear of being hated by God. Love should be free to share and be shared with lovers, family, friends, or anyone we meet. Love does not equal sex. Sex is shared between consenting adults. I believe in polyamory. Loving the many. You love the many, and speak love to those who are close and wish to be close. Be an adult and use your common sense, of course. Jeri and Xandyr are deeply in love, soul mates as it were. Marco and Loren are in love, and have been together since early school days. Calim is falling for Jack and Jack for Calim, thrown together by circumstance, bonded by life and death. Marco and Xan find an immediate attraction to each other. They have adult, responsible roles in the society, and find each other to be like minded, and deeply, viscerally attracted to each other. Both Xan and Loren have fears of losing their loved ones due to their own inadequacies raising jealousy. Jealousy, and anger are expressions of that fear, But Jeri's loving support and Marco's gentle touch, Xan and Loren will realize there is not inadequacy, no threat to their lives. Just love. |
